Howls from the Wolfe

The Non-Resident Issue at CCSF

Many people are flocking towards college degree programs in large numbers. With the California in budget stalemate, how are we supposed to serve everyone? The billion dollar question, I guess.

Here in San Francisco on the campus of City College, some college academic programs are being impacted. But, it's a two-fold story and I feel quite misunderstood about it.

So, I want to set the record straight.

Sunshine at City College

Transparency. It's a real concern in government today. Are we hearing everything we should be? Are all the documents of a certain subject revealed? Are procedures being carried out appropriately? Are public meetings open and accessible to the public?

These and more are concerns throughout the state regarding Sunshine policies in certain institutions. City College is one. But, open government should be tantamount for all stakeholders and the public.

An Important Endorsement:Tenants Union Endorses Bruce

THANK YOU TENANTS UNION MEMBERS!!

One of the City's strongest political housing and renters advocate, SF Tenants Union, has endorsed Bruce offering their support and confidence that he will insure tenant representation and protections for students, their families and the stakeholders of City College, the faculty and staff.

"I am so honored and humbled to receive the Tenants Union endorsement and support. The service and help they provide the multitudes of renters in the City every day gives hope and strength in order to survive and be successful in their lives without the damaging stresses of a lurking eviction. I support their efforts and ability to continue to increase protections for renters and to make change. Thank you, Tenants Union for your trust and confidence in my service as City College Trustee to be," said Bruce Wolfe as he learned of the news from fellow candidate and incumbent, Milton Marks, over the phone.

It is time to come together to bring back that lustre to City College. Help elect Bruce to the City College Board of Trustees by volunteering your time, posting a sign on your window, bicycle or vehicle, or making a donation today.

Public Defender Jeff Adachi endorses Bruce

An endorsement from a tireless advocate of the people is one that cannot be refused. Jeff Adachi, San Francisco's most loved Public Defender graced Bruce with his endorsement this weekend.

"I am so honored to receive this endorsement from one whom I have the highest respect not just for the job he is doing but of his personal commitment and service to youth and the public. Jeff's unwavering principles and values shine through every activity he initiates. Having personally been a child abuse prevention peace officer for four years, I know this work of a public defender can be many times thankless.  I am glad to know you. Thank you, Jeff!"

[Bruce made this statement from his home Sunday nite.]
